Daddy's Amazed
I have used polite phrases such as Please, Sorry, Excuse Me and Thank you with Jerilyn since the day she understands language. She has picked up these phrases tho sometimes I need to remind/tell her to say 'Sorry' when she has done wrong or 'Thank you' when she receives something. On the other hand, she has no problems with 'Please' and 'Excuse Me'. When she wants something, she says 'Please Mummy' or 'Please raisins' meaning I want raisins please. When I am in her way, she says Excuse Me. When Jesslyn's sleeping on her things, she says Excuse Me before pushing Mei2 away. Today, we shopped for a Christmas tree (I know, its not Christmas) at 1 of those pottery shops along KK road. As the Bangladeshi was busy lining the 2ft high Christmas trees for us to choose, the trees were actually lined between Jerilyn n us. She was locked behind the many trees. She said 1 phrase which surpised Daddy, which is Excuse Me. Its not everyday that Daddy hears her say that. Moreover, she actually used it at the right place, right time. He was very proud of her.
