Vocabulary
Jerilyn knows a wide range of nouns but she doesnt know how to put them into sentences. She lacks proficiency with other parts of speech ie pronoun, auxiliary verb, verb, adjective and adverb. In general, she can name shapes - square, triangle, circle. [She can draw circles and proudly tell us what she can draw], very few types of vegetables, the common domestic animals and wild animals(giraffe, zebra,), Sea creatures - fish, dolphin, sea horse, octopus, whale, crab etc..., most parts of the body - knee, ankle, tongue, tummy, numbers - she particularly likes odd numbers 1,3,5,7,8,9.
Her sentences include:
...dink milk. ...cannot see. ...sit here. ...come here. So nice. Take shower. ...close the door. Go down/up. Play .... or Dont play. Put here. Go away. Dont want. ... is here. This is .... No more/Finished. I want .... Give me.... Where is ..? There are many which I cant think of now and dont need elaboration here. Basically her sentences are 3-4words long.
She can speak a few words of Cantonese, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. The only word that she can use in 3 languages is "Pee". I think the urgency or importance of this word has made it easier for her to master other languages
